Slippa
Super spreading adjuvant

Slippa is a ‘super-spreader’ containing an organosilicone/linear alcohol surfactant blend. It designed for use with fungicide materials for the control of eyespot, and where swifter coverage of difficult-to-wet areas is required, ensuring the chemical is quickly moved to the point of action (e.g. through a dense crop canopy).

KEY BENEFITS OF USING SLIPPA

Slippa is able to significantly reduce the surface tension of the spray solution far below the level achieved by conventional surfactants. This results in:

  • superior contact to the target, ensuring that the chemical is fully spread over the intended target (especially over waxy surfaces);
  • swifter penetration of difficult-to-wet areas, ensuring the chemical is quickly moved to the point of action (e.g. through a dense crop canopy).

WHERE TO USE SLIPPA

In cereals (for control of stem based diseases, especially eyespot), Oilseed Rape (for use with sulphur), in horticultural crops, and in all situations where an improvement in coverage is required.

USE

In winter and spring cereals:

  • for use with all approved fungicides and mixtures containing such products applied at full rate and approved timings;
  • for use with all approved herbicides, plant growth regulators and insecticides applied at full rate upto and including GS 52 (1/4 inflorescence), and at half the approved rate thereafter.

In Other Crops:

  • for use with all approved pesticides applied at full rate upto and including the following crop growth stages, and with all approved pesticides applied at half the approved pesticide rate thereafter:

Crop/Product

To be applied at or before the following crop growth stages:

Apples/pears

up to and including fruit 5 - 10mm (EPPO code 71)

Beans

up to and including first pod set (EPPO code 204)

Peas

up to and including flat pod (EPPO code 205) (non-edible pods only)

Edible podded peas

up to and including pod set (EPPO code 204)

Oilseed Rape

up to and including 10% potential pods (code 5.1, Sylvester-Bradley, 1985)

Linseed

up to and including 10% capsules formed (code 51, Freer 1991)

Sugar Beet

up to and including 6 fully expanded leaves (EPPO code 23)

  • for use with approved pesticides at up to full rate application in non-crop, amenity and forestry situations.

For specific recommendations consult Interagro (UK) Ltd or its agents.

RATES OF USE

Use Slippa at a rate to give a 0.05% to 0.2% dilution of the final water volume in the spray tank, depending on the pesticide in use, and the target disease, weed or crop.
