T3 FUNGICIDES FOR YIELD AND QUALITY
- T3 sprays are applied at ear emergence GS 59-65 and have a vital role
in topping up disease control on the flag leaf, particularly Septoria,
as well as protecting the ear against diseases, such as Fusarium
and sooty moulds.
- The ear contributes around 22% to grain yield, with the flag leaf
over 40%.
- This year the recent wet and cooler conditions will re-activate Septoria
and increase the threat of ear diseases.
- In July 2006 EU legislation set maximum mycotoxin levels in grain,
flour and end products and growers need to monitor ear disease levels
carefully in order to minimise any risk of mycotoxins.
- T3 sprays are worthwhile when grain filling is prolonged, when disease
pressure is high, on varieties with disease susceptibility, in quality
wheats and if it is wet during flowering. A T3 spray results in around
0.5t/ha extra yield and improved grain colour and quality.
ARMA WILL MAXIMISE T3 FUNGICIDE PERFORMANCE
A triazole alone or a triazole/strobilurin coformulation mixed with ARMA
will make the T3 spray even more cost-effective, particularly when applied
at reduced dose rates.
The addition of ARMA to a T3 fungicide treatment will:
- Secure the performance of triazole or triazole /strob treatment.
- Enhance the effective dose rate of both straight and coformulated
fungicides.
- Help to achieve good coverage of the crop and penetration of the leaf.
- Improve rainfastness to within half an hour, essential in showery
weather.
- Give a return of many times its cost.
ARMA+ T3 FUNGICIDES
IMPROVES YIELDS
(by up to 0.6 t/ha)

IMPROVES LEVELS OF DISEASE CONTROL
(by up to 17%)

IMPROVES QUALITY AND REDUCES MYCOTOXINS (by
up to 66%)
Three years work at Kiel University in Germany
(the leading centre into Fusarium/mycotoxin research) shows that
ARMA helps reduce Fusarium mycotoxins when used
with triazoles.
