LAST CHANCE TO TIDY UP WILD-OATS
- Recent wet weather has stimulated further germination of wild-oats
and urgent attention will be needed to control these yield-damaging
grass weeds.
- Better delivery, better weed coverage and uptake of contact wild-oat
herbicides, such as Topik or Cheetah Super/Triumph,
are key to effective control in the spring.
- TOIL adds to the effective performance and consistency
of contact wild-oat graminicides by;
- Aiding spray deposition, improving adhesion to the weed target.
- Improving penetration and uptake of the herbicide into the target
weed.
- Reducing any spray drift by minimising the number of very fine
droplets produced.
- Being able to be used with a range of herbicides across the seasons.
- TOIL also satisfies many safety criteria itself as
it is safe to the environment and rapidly biodegraded. It is non-toxic
to fish, CHIP3 compliant with no LERAPS restriction.
MAKE YOUR BLIGHT SPRAYS STICK WITH BANKA
the patented adjuvant that ensures top performance
of contact and systemic blight fungicides
- Smith Periods are already being recorded and regular blight spraying
has started. The programme usually starts with protectant products at
rosette stage and systemics at rapid canopy growth. Once the canopy
is stable, protectants will be used.BANKA increases the effectiveness
of both protectant and the systemic fungicides right throughout
the blight programme.
- It has a unique composition that enhances the coverage and performance
of blight fungicides. Its alkyl pyrrolidones help dispersion
in the spray tank, making the spray operation easier. Its sulfonated
surfactants ensure even deposition and spread
of the fungicides across the leaf surface, resulting in better disease
control. Its polymers act as stickers, aiding retention
and providing better rainfastness and weathering, vital
in irrigated crops and catchy weather and its alkyl pyrrolidones aid
penetration into the plant, making the fungicides more
effective.
- BANKA’s micro-emulsion formulation ensures
that there are no blocked nozzles or pumps, not the
case for other potato blight adjuvants.
BANKA + BLIGHT FUNGICIDES REDUCES BLIGHT AND INCREASES
YIELD
- BANKA helps reduce foliar blight levels.
In work from the West of Scotland College, after 18 days, fluazinam
(Shirlan) treatments were showing 5% blight but the
addition of BANKA this was reduced to only 1%.
- The improved disease control also resulted in extra marketable
yields of around 4 t/ha
- In independent trials, the addition of BANKA to Electis
(zoxium + mancozeb) in a programme increased yields
by 5.5 t/ha.
