SPRING APPLIED SU HERBICIDES PERFORM BETTER AND FASTER
WITH ARMA
ARMA EXPANDS BROAD-LEAVED WEED SPECTRUM
Independent trials show that ARMA improves the performance of the low-dose
highly active sulphonyl-urea herbicides such as Ally SX and Quantum SX.
The SU’s low application rate allows little room for sufficient
surfactant in the formulation for consistent results. The addition of
ARMA could be adding as much as 50 times the amount of surfactant present
in the spray solution.
Weed Control - Ally
+ ARMA

ARMA IMPROVES EFFECT OF REDUCED DOSE RATES
ARMA improves the effect of reduced dose rates, speeding up the initial
knockdown and improving the control of “difficult” or larger
weed species such as field pansy, fat-hen, fumitory and redshank.
Weed Control - Quantum
SX + ARMA

ARMA SPEEDS UP KNOCKDOWN
ARMA increases the speed of knockdown of broad-leaved weed species controlled
by the sulphonylurea herbicide, Ally SX. In trials Ally alone gave 10%
control of 7 different weed species, but the addition of ARMA increased
this to 33%. In the final assessment the Ally + ARMA gave a 27% improvement
in control over the herbicide alone.
ARMA ENHANCES ATTRIBUT..
An ALS inhibitor, Attribut from Bayer (a.i propoxycarbazone-sodium) is
a spring-applied herbicide for the control of couch, onion couch, brome
and black-grass in winter wheat and it must be used with ARMA for best
effect.
...AS WELL AS MONITOR
This herbicide (a.i sulfosulfuron) from Monsanto is active against brome,
couch, cleavers and other broad-leaved weeds in winter wheat. Monitor
relies on an adjuvant for full activity. ARMA improves its efficacy and
consistency. In sterile brome trials Monitor plus ARMA gave over 80% control
of this difficult weed, compared to 74% control with Monitor plus Agral.
ARMA IMPROVES UPTAKE OF HORMONE HERBICIDES
The benefit of rapid uptake afforded by ARMA can be demonstrated with
traditional hormone herbicides, too. The uptake of 2,4-D was substantially
increased when ARMA was added.
ARMA BENEFITS RIGHT ACROSS THE TANK MIX
ARMA will benefit all components in the tank-mix – broad-leaved
weed herbicides, growth regulators, contact fungicides, triazoles fungicides
and strobilurin fungicides.
