INCREASE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF T1 FUNGICIDES
- T1 sprays are applied at emergence of leaf 3 (Growth Stage 31/32)
in order to control foliar diseases, particularly Septoria,
on emerged leaf 3 and provide protection for leaf 2.
- Leaf 2 contributes around 8% to grain yield, with leaf 3 adding 23%
so keeping these leaves free from disease is essential in order to protect
yield.
- Triazoles are the key fungicides at T1, where doses between half and
three-quarter rates are used. If eyespot or mildew is a particular risk,
a specific spray should also be applied.
ARMA WILL INCREASE THE EFFECTIVE RATE OF TRIAZOLES
Despite drift in their field performance, triazoles in combination with
chlorothalonil will continue to form the backbone of most fungicides programmes
at T1. But they need to be used at an appropriate dose and as protectants.
ARMA has been shown in both trials and widespread commercial
usage to enhance the performance of all triazoles, traditional and new,
and when used in combination with chlorothalonil.
In 12 trials used with Proline & prothioconazole + spiroxamine mixtures,
ARMA gave an average response of 0.39 t/ha, worth £35/ha,
giving a return on investment of 14:1 (see below).
Extra Yield Response
- Prothioconazoles + ARMA

P/S - prothioconazole + epiconazole
ARMA is able to produce such consistent results by increasing
the effective rate of the fungicide, especially when used with Proline,
Opus, prothioconazole + spiroxamine mixtures and in combinations
with chlorothalonil, as illustrated below.
ARMA in mix with T1 fungicides helps to retain and spread
the fungicides onto the leaf surface, improve the placement of fungicides
on the plant and help rapid penetration into the plant where it is needed.
